Last November 25th, took place the ceremony organized by the Internal Communication and Corporate Identity Observatory, where 9 projects on strategic communications were awarded. These projects are oriented to internal public and have set the trend in the innovation and excellence areas. The Internal Communication and Corporate Identity Observatory was created in 2003 by Atrevia consulting together with Capital Humano magazine and IE Business School, under the aim of deepening  in the qualities  of Internal Communication as a tool that connects values, corporate identity, culture and brand management. In a moment in which the impact of internal communication is already a reality, the jury has valued specially the innovation and the strategic scope of the initiatives, analyzing the impact of each one through the indispensable indicators and measuring presented. This time, Emotional Driving has been the campaign created by Gonvarri Steel Services that has been awarded as the Best practice in Internal Communication on Corporate Sustainability. MARCOM and Sustainability Director Juan Llovet and HHRR and Safety & Health Director Pablo González de Suso attended the ceremony. With this, there are already six prizes awarding the project focused on training and raising awareness in road safety and which have already joined the plants located in Madrid, Asturias, Navarra, Barcelona, Galicia, Tarragona and Valencia. In the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims, from #emotionaldriving @EmotionalDrivin we join it with our effort to raise awareness in society for the benefit of Road Safety and to contribute to save lifes. About 1.3 million people die every year in a car accident in the world and 50 million are injured. Also, it represents the first cause of death in people from 15 to 24 years old and the second cause for people from 25 to 29 years old worldwide. Spain’s case is one of the most successful in the road safety area, as it is in the fifth position for its good road safety. Gonvarri Steel Services gathers two international awards for “Emotional Driving” Project

Last October 23rd it was held the International Business Awards 2015 ceremony in Toronto, Canada, also known as Stevie awards, where Gonvarri Steel Services won the Stevie Gold in the Internal Communications category for its project Emotional Driving. Stevie awards recognize the achievements of organizations worldwide and has become one of the world’s most coveted prizes in the Communications sector. The Communications, Marketing and Sustainability Director of Gonvarri Steel Industries and Gestamp Renewables Juan Llovet and the America General Manager at LL&C Juan Rivera, collected the prize from the Stevie Awards Director. Furthermore, last October 26, it took place the EIKON awards in Buenos Aires, Argentina. These awards recognize the Excellence in Institutional Communications and Gonvarri Steel Services obtained the gold prize to the best project on Internal Communications. Eikon Awards recognize initiatives about institutional communication. Gonvarri Argentina’s Manager Emilio Ros and the Security and Environment Chief Sergio Constela attended the ceremony. Both prizes are already included in the track record that Emotional Driving project has accomplished. This project was created from the road safety concept developed by and for its employees, in order to motivate them to drive safer, combining the emotional and rational level. Gestamp Solar opens its new plant in Fukuroda, Japan

Gestamp Solar opens its new plant in Fukuroda, Japan

Last September 18th, took place the opening of the new photovoltaic solar plant of Gestamp Solar in Fukuroda, Japan. This is the first project of the company in Japan. The facility has a nominal power of 26 MW, more than 126,000 Yingli modules YL250p-35b multicrystalline and 26 conversion centres composed by 1 ABB 1000 Kw inversor (one per centre) plus a transformer ABB 1100kVA with ABB cells. It is estimated an annual production of more than 37,000 MWh/year reducing emissions in 24,000 tons of CO2/year. Government representatives from Ibaraki’s prefecture assisted to the opening ceremony, as well as members from the Spanish Embassy in Japan together with several companies that cooperated in the execution of the project. Emotional Driving project wins a Stevie Gold in the International Business Awards 2015

  International Business Awards have awarded the Emotional Driving Project, by Gonvarri Steel Services, as the best Internal Communications project in 2015. Emotional Driving was created from the safety road concept by Gonvarri, developed by and for its employees, in order to motivate them to drive safely, combining the emotional and rational level. Emotional Driving has been developed from the Safety Road Sessions, collaborative challenges and from an online learning session, which had an excellent employee involvement from the first day, held at the Madrid’s plant in December, 2014. Afterwards there has also been held four editions in Asturias, Navarra, Barcelona and Galicia. In total, more than 1,500 people have already joined the project.
